The Short Version

We built this site to be read, not to harvest data. You can browse every page without creating an account, and we do not set tracking cookies, run advertising pixels, or sell personal information. The handful of third-party services we rely on are listed below with what they can see.

Information We Collect

We do not require registration and do not collect names, emails or profiles as you browse. If you write to us through the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you choose to send, and we use them only to reply. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type, timestamps) for security and capacity purposes, as virtually every website's host does.

Cookies & Local Storage

This site itself does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Interactive features — the search box, maps, date pickers and open-now badges — run entirely in your browser without storing personal data. Third-party sites you click through to (such as Booking.com) apply their own cookie policies once you arrive there.

Third-Party Services We Use

Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap's servers; current-weather data is fetched from the Open-Meteo API; the contact form is relayed by FormSubmit; and hotel booking buttons link to Booking.com search results. When your browser talks to these services it necessarily shares your IP address and standard request headers with them, exactly as it does when loading any website. Each operates under its own privacy policy, and none receives your name or contact details from us.

Outbound Links

Pages link to other websites — booking platforms and a small number of official attraction and reference sites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites, and a link does not imply endorsement of their data handling.

Business Listings

Listing pages describe public-facing businesses — names, addresses, phone numbers and opening hours — compiled from open map data and public sources. This is publicly available business information, not personal data. If you own a listed business and want a correction or removal, use the contact form and we'll act on it promptly.

Children's Privacy

This site is a general-audience travel and local directory. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If our practices change — for example, if we ever add analytics — we will update this page and revise the effective date below before the change takes effect.
